For decades a camera has been one of the first, and most important things I have packed for any trip. In this age of the Internet and technology I’ve been searching for a “good” way to share the best of my photos, and hopefully I’m on the path to finding an answer, and this is a good first step.
See a photo you enjoy or appreciate? Please, let me know!

This sunrise photo was taken as we sailed in to Raiatea, French Polynesia. I was on board Holland America’s MS Koningsdam during the Feb/March 2023 Hawaii, Tahiti and Marquesas cruise.
These days I do as little “post-production” as I can get away with, partly because I just don’t have the time, and partly because I love what comes out of the camera, or off the phone. (I recently got a cellphone that’s as much, if not more, a camera than a phone.)
I got my first digital camera circa 2001. Back then I felt the need to white balance / autobalance every digital photo I took, but the technology has moved forward by leaps and bounds since my first, 1 megapixel, digital camera.
