This doesn’t actually surprise me, given as a kid I complained about pulling the flowers my Dad called weeds from our vegetable garden, but it is kind of funny how many flowers and plants I think are pretty I look up and find listed as weeds.

And yes, this is another one. Per Wikipedia:
Celosia argentea, commonly known as the plumed cockscomb or silver cock’s comb, is a herbaceousplant of tropical origin in the Amaranthaceae family from India and Nepal. The plant is known for its very bright colors. In India and China it is known as a troublesome weed.




I thought this was a different plant / flower, but the magic World Wide Web tells me I found more of the same, just looking a little different… just another reason I photographing all the pretty flowers, and try to identify them when I can.
